REACH fixed-wing aircraft (airplanes) are available 24 hours-a-day and airborne approximately 20 minutes after dispatch.

REACH provides adult, pediatric and neonatal patient transport services. REACH is the preferred pediatric interfacility transport provider for the major Bay Area and Sacramento Valley PICUs.

REACH staff varies according to patient need. Typically our Fixed Wing Aircraft are staffed with a critical care Flight Nurse and a Flight Paramedic or Respiratory Therapist. Physicians are added as necessary based on patient need.


REACH Pilots have an average of 5,000 hours experience as pilot in command of fixed-wing aircraft. All
REACH pilots are instrument rated and current.

REACH's Medical Director has more than 13 years experience in emergency medicine, and more than 12 years experience in aviation medicine, and performs 100% chart review.. 

REACH staff provide consistent, high quality patient care.

REACH operates Cessna 421C and King Air B200 aircraft are twin-engine, instrument flight capable, pressurized aircraft. REACH also utilizes  jet aircraft for  long-distance transports.  The top speed of these fixed-wing aircraft varies between 230 and 500 mph.
