REACH Air Medical Services
Celebrates 20 Years
of Emergency Air Transport Service to
Northern California and Western Oregon
Fundraiser Fun Run/Walk, Open House Event Held Sunday, April 22 at Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport
SANTA ROSA, Calif. – April 16, 2007 -- REACH Air Medical Services today announced
that on April 17, 2007, it will attain a company hallmark of 20
years of service to the residents and visitors of Northern California and Western
Oregon. REACH invites the public
to celebrate and enjoy the festivities at its open house and barbecue on
Sunday, April 22nd. The day kicks off with a fundraiser 10k Run and 5k
Run/Walk at REACH headquarters at the Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma
County Airport. All proceeds from the run/walk event will
support the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation John L. McDonald, M.D.
Paramedic Education Scholarship.
“While REACH has
grown in experience and geographic service area over the past 20 years, we have
remained keenly focused on the vision created for us by Dr. John L. McDonald in
1987”, said Jim Adams, CEO of REACH Air Medical Services. “We are
committed to excellence yesterday, today, and tomorrow. As we ring in our 20th
Anniversary, we remain fueled by our passion to provide customer oriented, high
quality air medical transport services in a safe and efficient manner….in every
situation, to do what is right for the patients we serve,” he said.
REACH was initially
established to serve the rural communities of Sonoma, Marin, Napa,
Lake and Mendocino counties. Now, 20 years later,
the passion that drove our founder Dr. McDonald’s vision has fueled us to
extend our service well beyond the original borders of these counties.
Headquartered in Santa Rosa, California, REACH, serves the emergent air medical
transport needs of communities stretching from Central California
to Portland, Oregon. REACH has transported more than 30,000
patients in its 20-year service history.
The “John L. McDonald
Just Go!” fun run/walk registration begins at 7:45 a.m.,
with takeoff at 8:30 a.m. (strollers and dogs welcome). The course is
an out-and-back course originating from the REACH Maintenance facility. Funds raised are used to fuel the John L. McDonald,
M.D. Paramedic Scholarship Fund.
The run will be
followed by an open house/barbecue from 11
a.m. – 2 p.m. Guests will enjoy
meeting the REACH team and other Emergency Medical personnel as well as joining
in a variety of celebratory activities.
