Golf Tournament Raises Money for Kids in the North State
Redding, Calif. – September 26, 2006 – REACH Air Medical Services will host their eighth
annual fund-raiser golf tournament, “Drive for Kids”, on September 30, 2006 at the Gold Hills Golf Club in Redding, Calif. The “Drive for Kids” tournament, a non profit
organization, raises money to support pediatric healthcare needs in the North State. Tournament registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and tee time is 12:00
p.m.
“REACH is excited to be able to participate in this incredibly worth and
fun event,” said REACH’s Director of Program Development Jennifer
Hardcastle. “Our goal
is to raise the funds required for the purchase of specialized medical and
mobility equipment children in the North State depend on.”
“Two months ago we presented a North State resident, Jan Geddes and her family
of four disabled children with a $6,000 check toward the purchase of a specialized
van which can accommodate all
four of Jan Geddes's wheelchair-bound children so they may get around in
comfort and safety,” continued Hardcastle. “The Geddes family includes Jan and her
adopted children NattieZell, Max, Jordan, and Korin, all with special needs.”
“Last month we presented a wheelchair-bound
child with a laptop with funds raised from the “Drive for Kids” gold
tournament,” said Hardcastle. “As you
can see the money raised goes toward a wonderful cause.”
