Phong Nguyen, MD, joined CEP America in 1994 and is the Medical Director at Redlands Community Hospital in Redlands, CA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree and Medical Degree from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Nguyen completed his internship in General Surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport and his residency in Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia.
He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). Dr. Nguyen is also Base Station Director, Chairman of Medicine Department and just completed two years as Chief of Staff at Redlands Community Hospital. He is the Medical Director for six fire departments for the Cities of Redlands, Rialto, Loma Linda, Colton, and Upland as well as for San Manuel. He serves as the Medical Director for the Paramedic Program at Crafton Hills College.
When not working as a clinical physician or as a Medical Director, Dr. Nguyen enjoys tennis, singing and karaoke parties. Dr. Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and speaks fluent Vietnamese.
